In most cases the hole that needs to be repaired and painted is the size of a door knob or smaller. For these instances a patch is applied along with doing refining work to the existing drywall as to make the patch flush, matching in texture, and matching in color.
Some repairs are larger and require a section of drywall to be cut and placed in the cavity, then secured to ensure the new wall is durable. Drywall tape, texture, and paint are applied to match the new area to the rest of your home or office.
